Health Choices for Me Overview

Exeter Family Friendly’s private medical insurance, Health Choices for Me, is a modular plan with Essential Core Cover. There are a range of modules available including: cancer cover, out-patient and manipulative treatment.

 

Lifestyle discounts and contributory hospice donation of £250.

 

Full physiotherapy, osteopathy, podiatry and chiropractic cover available.

 

A Cancer Cover Module covering all stages of cancer treatment and aftercare is available.

 

Full Medical Underwriting for individuals between the ages of 18 and 79. Fixed Moratorium for individuals up to age 65 and Continued Moratorium up to age 70 years or younger.

 

In-Patient & Day-Patient Treatment

An in-patient is admitted to hospital, staying in bed overnight or longer for medical reasons. A day-patient is admitted to hospital or day patient unit because they need a period of medically supervised recovery. They do not stay in a bed overnight.

Out-patient Treatment

A patient who attends a hospital, consulting room or outpatient clinic and is not admitted as a day patient or in-patient.The Essential cover does include limited out-patient treatment. However, the Out-patient Module, Manipulative Treatment Module and Cancer Cover Module allow you to personalise the plan to suit your requirements.

Full cover is available with the Outpatient Module option for up to £1,000 or £500 p.a. for consultations.

Diagnostics Tests

 

Covered in Full. Under the Essential cover. Including CT, MRI and PET Scans at hospitals on My Hospitals List. Full cover is available for up to £1,000 or £500 p.a. with the Out-patient Module.

Physiotherapy

 

The Essential cover includes up to 3 sessions of post-operative physiotherapy following in-patient or day-patient surgery. Full cover or £300 per year options are available with the Manipulative Treatment Module.

Radiotherapy / Chemotherapy

 

Full cover provided with the Cancer Cover Module.

Josh and his colleagues at Drewberry couldn't have been more helpful. I needed a fair level of detail to help me decide which life policy to choose and Josh provided the data I needed and responded professionally and quicky to requests for explanations and advice. The website works well too - especially the price comparison feature - easy to recalculate with different options and good links to core documentation. Arranging the completion of the application form was smooth too - they called me back at a re-arranged time and sorted any issues as they arose. Makes a change to find people who live up to the marketing promises but the people I dealt with at Drewberry certainly did.
