How Will Life Insurance Companies Treat Cancer?
Getting Life Insurance after you’ve had cancer could be tricky but may be possible depending on a number of factors, such as what type of cancer you had and how long ago it was since you were discharged from care.
Depending on the type of cancer, Life Insurance might be available for a relatively short period of time after the all clear. However, for other types of cancer Life Insurance companies generally require a period of at least five years cancer free.
It is really a case of collecting all the facts and then checking with the underwriters as various insurers to see if cover and be offered and, if so at what premium level.
Advice on Cancer and Life Insurance
Unfortunately there are some cases were Life Insurance simply won’t be available. However, with a specialist query such as the availability of Life Insurance after recovering from cancer, we’d always recommend speaking to an adviser.
The insurance advisers here at Drewberry have the entire UK market at the fingertips, so can search all available providers to check their decision. We also deal with Life Insurance advice day in, day out, so we know which providers could be more likely to offer you cover without you having to phone each individual insurer yourself.
