Stress related illnesses are included with most insurers

Income protection insurance can cover stress related illnesses and mental illnesses, in fact in 2011 31% of claims with the insurer LV were for Mental Disorders, e.g. stress.

Generally income protection policies do not have standard exclusions but please bear in mind that most insurers will not cover you for a pre existing condition. However the good news is that as the income protection policies are underwritten upfront it is clear from the outset what is covered and what is not.

Josh, Nick & Sam helped me set up PHI & Life insurance when I set up my own company. The application process wasn't straight forward due to my medical history, but the team made everything as simple as possible.
