Drewberry Celebrates Double Win at Cover Excellence Awards

Drewberry is thrilled to announce that we’ve won not one but two awards at the November 2020 Cover Excellence Awards!

Held on November 10th 2020 and hosted as usual by Cover Magazine, the ceremony went ahead slightly differently this year due to the pandemic. However, Cover did a fantastic job and pulled off a great virtual conference and event.

We’d like to take this chance to thank everyone at Cover for their hard work in making the 2020 event happen.

Drewberry Announced as Protection Intermediary of the Year!

Our first award of the night was Protection Intermediary of the Year. It’s an award that recognises the role of intermediaries in acting for clients in their best interests when it comes to protection.

We were up against stiff competition — even making the shortlist was an honour. So when the judges announced us as the winner, we were absolutely bowled over!

“Everyone here is ecstatic to win this award. It’s such an honour. We’d like to thank the judges for recognising our hard work over the past year.

“We aim to always offer the best advice, promote protection and ultimately be the best intermediary possible for our clients, so it’s great to win an award for doing just that.

“Our entry highlighted our achievements over the past 12 months, an area where our response to the pandemic has admittedly dominated.

“For instance, we’ve helped clients arrange career breaks and premium holidays. We also provided information on additional benefits that come free with policies which clients can use while in isolation. This is not only good for the client but also helps reduce the strain on the NHS at this difficult time.

“Not only this, but we’ve continued to offer help and advice on new protection policies throughout this period. For example, our expert advisers have racked up an impressive 426 reviews as a result of putting new policies in form in the 12 months to the 10th of November 2020. 92.7% of these reviews are 5-star.”

Drewberry Wins Special Proud to Protect Award

Our second win of the night was the Proud to Protect Award. A new prize for 2020, Cover awarded it in association with Aviva. It’s there to highlight the work of an individual adviser who has gone above and beyond for a particular client.

The judges decided to award the first ever Proud to Protect Award to Samantha Haffenden-Angear.

Samantha is one of our Independent Protection Experts. Cover gave her the award in recognition of the hard work she put in to helping a client with a tricky children’s Critical Illness Insurance claim.
