I’m sorry to hear about your situation. We tend to specialise in arranging individual policies for people where they stay with the same insurer long-term.
Seek advise from an expert
In this case it sounds like you have cover through your Union and they have changed the insurer to one with weaker cover and it’s had a very negative impact on your ability to continue your claim. As this is a legal issue it might be worth contacting the Citizens Advice Bureau and making a complaint to both the Union and the new insurer. If you are not satisfied with the outcome of the complaint you can then take it to the Financial Ombudsman Service who has the power to award compensation.
As we don’t arrange cover for Unions I cannot really help much more than that, apologies. I wish you the best of luck in resolving this. Once you have it might be worth looking into taking out your own policy so something like this cannot happen in the future rather than using the Union scheme.

First class service. Helped me through the process from start to finish. Egle and Francis were very professional and talked me though all my options. Once the policies were set up, the after care after was also first class. Highly recommend. 5 stars all day long.
Victoria was very helpful about selection of suitable insurance. She always answered all questions in a timely manner.
