About the Trainee Insurance Adviser Role

This is a great opportunity for a bright and ambitions individual to join a leading financial advisory firm as a Trainee Insurance Adviser.

You will spend the first 9-12 months working in our Client Support team learning the basics. To start with, you’ll be assisting clients with insurance applications, writing life insurance plans into trust, assisting clients with claims and writing advice suitability letters.

During this time, you will also gain adviser training with a view to moving into a Health & Protection Insurance Adviser role in 9-12 months.

  • Opportunity to train into becoming a professional insurance adviser at a leading financial advisory firm.
  • Opportunity to gain professional qualifications with the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).
  • Starting basic salary of £21,700, rising to £24,000 once signed off as an adviser. At which point you would also have the opportunity to earn sizeable bonuses.
  • 5% employer pension contribution.
  • Opportunity to develop your career into becoming a senior insurance adviser, employee benefits consultant or financial adviser.
  • Work in an office with a friendly and co-operative culture, with plenty of team social activities.

  • You must currently live in Sussex and preferably around the Brighton area
  • No prior insurance or sales experience is necessary, but you must have natural sales ability and a hunger to succeed in a professional, detailed orientated environment.
  • The successful candidate is likely to have good grades at GCSE / A-Level. A university degree would be looked at favourably but is not essential.
