About Drewberry

Drewberry is a fast-growing insurance brokerage based in Brighton. The firm is extremely well respected in the industry, having been nominated for numerous awards and is frequently quoted in leading newspapers, such as the Financial Times and The Independent.

Being a growing SME, there is a vibrant entrepreneurial environment where everyone’s views and opinions are taken very seriously, allowing everyone to contribute to the growth and success of the company. There’s a great team spirit and colleagues often socialise together outside of work.

About the Insurance Administrator Role

You will work alongside the existing Client Support Team to provide support to our team of Insurance Advisers, who advise customers on income protection insurance, life insurance, critical illness and private health insurance. You will also work closely with customers and insurers. The main duties of the role include:

  • Completing insurance applications with customers over the telephone
  • Producing letters for customers detailing our recommendation(s)
  • Data migration of customer file information for external compliance checks
  • Helping the client support manager with quality assurance monitoring
  • Providing assistance to customers at the point of claim.

Required Skills

When completing applications, you will be asking customers to disclose medical information which can be complex and sensitive, so it is essential that you have a sensitive and professional telephone manner.

Equally important is a high attention to detail, as the process involves careful data entry. You will use standard office software, such as Word, Outlook and Excel, as well as in-house systems, so you will need to have solid computer skills. Experience of working in financial services is an advantage but is not essential.

What Drewberry Can Offer You

You can expect to receive the following whilst working for Drewberry:

  • Competitive salary of up to £19,000 per annum
  • Quarterly bonus structure
  • Clear progression structure with salary rises
  • Flexible working options between 8.30am and 8pm
  • Opportunity to work full- or part-time hours
  • 24 days paid holiday, based on full time hours (37.5 hours per week)
  • Paid day off for your birthday
  • 5% employer pension contribution
  • 4x salary death in service (life insurance) benefit
  • Companywide social activity every month.
